What is Giving Tuesday?
You've heard of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday, but do you know about Giving Tuesday? The Tuesday after Thanksgiving becoming 'Giving Tuesday' began as a simple idea in 2012; a day that encourages people to do good. It has evolved into a "global generosity movement" that focuses on the power of giving to transform local communities across the world.
Why is it important?
We want to help support a culture of generosity in our community. While the holiday season is a time of great joy for many, it can also be a time of uncertainty for those less fortunate.
How are we helping?
We're throwing a party, and the cost of admission is DONATIONS! All donated items will be delivered to the Hilton Food Shelf to support our community this holiday season.
Who: Everyone! (This event is geared toward children and families)
What: A day of holiday fun! (see list of activities below)
Where: Pomona at Blue Barn
When: November 30, 2021 from 4:00 - 7:00pm
Admission Fee: Donations of non-perishable goods, paper goods, or hygiene items.
How many items do I have to donate?
To enter the event, you must donate at least one item per person; however, since we like to do things on a BIG scale here at Blue Barn, we're offering more chances to win for more items donated!
Earn raffle tickets for donated items for a chance to win some great prizes!
1 non-perishable good = 1 raffle ticket
1 paper good or hygiene item = 2 raffle tickets

A Little Something Extra:
Some children in our community could use a little something extra this holiday season. To support the Hillside Children's Foundation, we will have an area for extra donations of toys and gifts, or to sponsor a child through the Special Santa program.
