POSITION: Intern-Social Media & Graphic Design
BRIEF OVERVIEW
Blue Barn Cider Corp is the parent company of three major brands in three different fields: Blue Barn Cidery (craft beverage), Pomona at Blue Barn (weddings/events), and West Wind Farm at Blue Barn (agritourism). Located on the same campus, all three brands work together as sister companies to support a shared mission and cohesive, complementary branding. As a rapidly growing company, Blue Barn Cider Corp. is taking on qualified interns in 2022, with the potential to earn full-time employment. Applicants should be in their 3rd or 4th year of a college program, preferably tracking toward a degree in, or with a focus on, graphic design, marketing, digital media, journalism, or communications. The intern will work directly with the management team and contribute to all three brands' social media and graphic design needs.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Impeccable written communication skills

Experience with content management systems and image/video editing software

Knowledge of social media analytics to track engagement and performance

Mastery of the major social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest

Strong organization and time management skills
SALARY & HOURS
Social Media Interns can expect to earn $13-15/hour depending on their level of experience and must be available for a minimum of 25 hours per week. Up to a maximum of 40 hours per week are available for motivated applicants.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
An ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of social media platforms and feel confident developing content with the use of photos, video, and text across multiple platforms. The intern will effectively inform, educate, and engage the brand’s target audience to work toward marketing goals. Experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or related software knowledge is a plus.
INTERN EXPECTATIONS

Assist with the design, execution, and analytics tracking of social media campaigns.

Create weekly and monthly content calendars to promote events and products on various social media outlets and websites.

Create and distribute content such as posters, infographics, and signs.

Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability.

Analyze social media content of prominent beverage industry brands and implement strategies to maintain brand competitiveness in the marketplace.

Monitor and provide insight to the management team on the latest trends in social media.

Create content for social media posts that are consistent with the company’s brands.
In addition to the expectations above, the Intern will participate in the planning and execution of the following events based on the internship time frame selected.
