POSITION: TASTING ROOM MANAGER

BRIEF OVERVIEW
Blue Barn Cidery seeking a motivated team member who has the ideas and drives to assist in the success of our growing Tasting Room in Hilton, NY as a Tasting Room Manager. Candidates must be professional, articulate, hard-working, strong leaders who can handle multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will assume responsibility for and oversee day-to-day floor operations in the Tasting Room, as well as execute vendor events and drive increased on-site sales. The position requires an outgoing, well-organized, self-motivated, and disciplined individual who is focused on the customer’s experience.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Confident and experienced in a leadership role
  • Exhibits professionalism during staff, client, and vendor interactions
  • Preference is given to candidates with two or more years of successful management experience, ideally beverage, hospitality, or restaurant-related
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite, Square POS, Google Suite, and/or ability to learn
  • ServSafe Certified preferred
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be 21 years old or older with a valid driver’s license
 
SALARY & HOURS
  • $14-$17/hour depending on experience plus tips and bonuses
  • Must be available 30-40 hours per week including some evening hours, some weekend hours, and occasional holidays
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Tasting Room, including retail and bar sales, visitor relations, team member performance, and vendor events
  • Assist in hiring new team members. Training, scheduling, and supervising staff.
  • Inventory management and ordering
  • Work with product reps to ensure team members receive the appropriate level of sales, product, and general cider education and training
  • Assist in coordinating and executing hospitality events such as fundraisers, vendor events, and annual festivals
  • Handle routine purchasing transactions, including operating cash registers, and accounting for daily sales. Ensure that cash accounting is correct and complete at the end of the business day
