Hi - we're Jill and Jeremy Wolf, the owners/dreamers/midnight oil burners behind Pomona at Blue Barn. We wanted a barn venue for our wedding, but couldn't quite find one that checked off all the boxes - so we built one! Our goal with Pomona was to create a beautiful, light, airy space that our couples could use as a blank canvas to transform into the venue of their dreams.  We hope that you adore this space as much as we do.

Facility

 

Q: What is the timing for my wedding?

  • Access to The Loft and The Suite begin at 10am. Ceremonies may begin any time after noon. Guest and vendor departure by midnight.

 

Q: Do you allow decorations?

  • Yes. We welcome decorations, such as flowers, candles, and accent decor. We do not allow anything to be applied to or adhered to the walls or building that may cause damage. If you choose to use candles, we require that they are in containers or on a stand or plate to prevent damages to our surfaces and linens. Confetti and glitter are strictly prohibited.

 

Q: Can I drop off my decorations ahead of time and/or pick them up after the wedding?

  • No. We are unable to accommodate early drop off or late pick up of décor or personal items. 

 

Q: What are your minimum/maximum head count requirements?

  • Pomona is able to accommodate a maximum of 225 guests seated with a dance floor. We require a minimum of 75 guests for all wedding bookings, but allow 50 person minimums for private events on Sundays through Thursdays.

 

Event Services

 

Q: Can you recommend any local vendors?

  • Yes. We would be happy to provide a list of reputable local vendors upon request.

 

Q: Does Pomona provide a stage, microphone, or A/V equipment?

  • No. Pomona does not provide or offer any staging, or A/V equipment.

 

Q: Does Pomona provide additional lighting?

  • Yes. Custom up-lighting is available by request for an added fee. 

 

Q: Are outdoor tents permitted?

  • Outdoor tents are permitted, but not included in venue pricing. 

 

Q: Is a coordinator included in the venue rental fee?

  • A venue coordinator will be present on the day of your wedding to ensure all venue-related matters are attended to, including lighting, temperature control, and direction of guests. Wedding planning services and wedding coordination services are not included.

 

 

Catering Services

 

Q: May we bring in an outside caterer?

  • With the exception of wedding cake/baked goods, we cannot allow outside food and beverages to be brought in. Catering must be provided by one of our Preferred Caterers.

 

Q: Can we bring in our own alcohol?

  • No. Due to liability and service standards, we do not allow a client to provide their own alcohol. Any of our Preferred Caterers can provide full bar services to your specifications.

 

Q: Do the bar packages include non-alcoholic drinks?

  • Yes. Bar packages include soft drinks and other non-alcoholic bar standards (club soda, tonic, juice).

 

Q: Do the bar packages include any craft beverages from Blue Barn Cidery?

  • Yes. Bar packages include a hard cider and a craft beer from Blue Barn Cidery.

 

 

Contracts & Payments

 

We do not hold dates on a tentative basis. Dates are reserved with a deposit and signed copy of the rental contract only.

 

Q: How do I reserve a date?

  • A venue deposit of 50% of the venue rental fee with a signed copy of the rental contract is required to place a reservation. 

 

Q: What is the Venue Rental Fee?

  • The Venue Rental fee begins at $4,500 and up. For off-season weddings (Dec. 1 - March 31) Venue Rental fee begins at $3,500 and up. This fee does not include catering.

 

Q: What if I need to cancel my event?

  • Venue deposits are non-refundable.
