DONATION REQUEST POLICY

While Blue Barn Cidery would love to be able to support every charitable organization we, unfortunately, cannot. Due to the large volume of requests we receive, the following guidelines have been established to allow us to support as many charitable organizations as possible.

Donation requests must be submitted through our online form (found below). Requests submitted via email, mail, phone, social media, or dropped off at the Cidery will not be considered.

Interested in Applying?

  • Your organization must be a nonprofit with a 501(c)(3) status or a tax-exempt support organization for educational institutions. (**With the exception of fundraisers to benefit individuals in need of assistance.)

  • Your organization must not have received a donation from Blue Barn Cidery in the past calendar year.

  • Blue Barn Cidery takes pride in contributing to benefit the following organizations in our community; ALS Association, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, C.U.R.E. Childhood Cancer Association, Trees for Troops: Christmas Spirit Foundation, and the Hilton Parma Food Pantry. Priority will be given to organizations whose charitable pursuits align with Blue Barn Cidery. Examples;

    • Providing educational opportunities to those in the surrounding community.

    • Supporting local individuals and/or families in need of assistance (ie; food, shelter, medical support).

    • Fundraising to directly benefit one of the organizations listed above, or to benefit veterans and/or first responders.

  • If approved, the applicant will need to pick up the donation from the Cidery during our business hours. Donations will be available two weeks prior to the event.

  • Performance groups, travel sports, athletic teams.

  • Third-party fundraisers.

  • New school requests will only be considered if the fundraiser directly supports educational programs, student/family support services, projects or classroom supplies, or scholarships.

Processing:

  • Adherence to guidelines does not guarantee that Blue Barn will be able to fulfill your request EVEN IF Blue Barn has been able to support your organization in the past.

  • Processing of donation requests happens at the beginning of the month.

  • You will receive an email confirming or denying your request after the first of the month.

  • Blue Barn has set a quota for donations each month and will not be able to fulfill donations after the quota is met.
